Hello Marlins! I'm Coach Sam! This will be my first year as Head Coach, my fourth year as a Coach with MPST and my sixth year as a Red Cross certified Lifeguard. I am currently a sophomore at The University of Texas at San Antonio. During my time at university, I am majoring in Business Marketing, competing on the UTSA triathalon team, UTSA swim club and I also swim off campus with Alamo Area Aquatics Association. Before college, I attended James E. Taylor High School where I swam on the Varsity Team for 4 years and swam club for Power Aquatics. At school, I was also involved in the National Honor Society and Mustangs Volunteering Proudly. When I was younger, I struggled with swimming, but overcame my fear of water, so now coaching is so special to me because I am able to share my passion for swimming with the community. I spent a total of 12 years swimming summer league, six of them as a fellow Marlin. One of my proudest moments was winning the 100 IM at the All Stars Meet! In my free time, I enjoy photography, cooking and spending time with my friends and family. I am so excited to coach y'all this summer! Go Marlins!
