Hey there, Marlins! I'm Coach Alex. I am finishing my fourth year at Sam Houston State University, graduating in May, with a degree in Computer Science. I've been involved in summer league as a swimmer for 9 amazing years. I am returning for my fifth year coaching at MPST and this will be my third year as Head Coach. I was a 4 year swimmer at James E. Taylor High School, on both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. I also trained with Power Aquatics, a year-round competitive club. I have also worked as a Lifeguard for 6 years, certified through the Red Cross. I volunteer my time giving seminars to students and as a media director with a student computer club within my department. During my down time, you'll usually find me tinkering with a computer, learning new programs and keeping up with friends and family. My proudest moments as a Coach: Seeing our Marlins achieve their personal goals! It might be a best time, reaching the other side of the pool without stopping, learning to dive, perfecting their strokes and making great friends. I can't wait to see all our returning swimmers and meet our newest Marlins. Get ready for a fun filled season! Go Marlins!
Hello Marlins! I'm Coach Sam! This will be my third year as a Coach with MPST and my 5th year as a Red Cross certified Lifeguard. I am currently a freshman at The University of Texas at San Antonio. During my time at university, I am in multidisciplinary studies, competing on the UTSA triathalon team, UTSA swim club and I also swim off campus with Alamo Area Aquatics Association. Before college, I attended James E. Taylor High School where I swam on the Varsity Team for 4 years and swam club for Power Aquatics. At school, I was also involved in the National Honor Society and Mustangs Volunteering Proudly. When I was younger, I struggled with swimming, but overcame my fear of water, so now coaching is so special to me because I am able to share my passion for swimming with the community. I spent a total of 12 years swimming summer league, six of them as a fellow Marlin. One of my proudest moments was winning the 100 IM at the All Stars Meet! In my free time, I enjoy photography, cooking and spending time with my friends and family. I am so excited to coach y'all this summer! Go Marlins!
Hey Marlins! I’m Coach Cynetha. This will be my second year as a coach with MPST and my 4th year as a Red Cross certified Lifeguard. I am currently a Senior at Taylor High School and will be graduating this May. In school this year I have been involved in Color Guard, FFA, and 4 National Honor Societies. I have been swimming with the Marlins for 12 years. I am so glad that I get to be able to help swimmers have a fun summer, and enjoy swimming as much as I have the past 12 years. I can’t wait to help the swimmers achieve any goals that they have this summer. In my free time, I enjoy photography, raising animals, and trying new things. I am so excited to help coach y’all this summer! Go Marlins!

Hey Marlins! I'm coach Becca! This will be my second year as a coach for the marlins and I have been swimming for the team since I was 5 years old. I have been a lifeguard for 3 years now and a swim instructor at the Ymca for 2 years. I am currently working on getting an associates in arts at Lone Star College and plan to spend a few years traveling the world after I graduate. I have always had a huge love for swimming and helping coach others on how to swim, I love being around the water and seeing others grow a love for it. In my free time I enjoy hiking, obviously swimming, and photography. My proudest moment was when the marlins won the championship trophy for the first time! I am so excited to watch all of our swimmers grow and can't wait for a fun filled summer. Go Marlins!
